Rose Queen Festival - Churches Together will again have a float in the Carnival procession on Saturday 30 June. If anyone would like to help prepare the float then please meet at the canal basin at 9 am.
If you have a child that would like to be on the float then please meet at the canal basin at 12.00 noon.
The carnival procession begins at 1pm
Come and join us at our coffee morning at the Mechanics Institute from 9.30am. This time proceeds will go to Christian Aid.
A fun opportunity for toddlers and young children to hear a Bible story, to sing songs and to enjoy a craft activity with their parent or carer. The adults can enjoy a chat as well. A great opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.

As this is the third Sunday of the month, there will be an opportunity for anyone who would like prayers for healing, or for a particular issue to come into the chancel where Revd Margaret and other members of the Ministry Team will pray with you. Alternatively, you can place a Prayer Request in a basket at the chancel steps. These will be prayed for too.
Summer Market and Cream Teas on Saturday 23 June 1.00 - 5.00 pm at Holy Trinity Church: Cream Teas will be served from 1pm. If you would like to have a stall at this event, please contact Joyce Hibbert (01663 734240).
We will be preparing our Well dressing from Monday 18th to Friday 22 June. We hope that you will be able to help with this and there is a sign up sheet at the back of church for the following times: Mon 18- 9.30am– 12.00, 2.30-4.30, 6.00-8.00pm Tues 19 - 10.00am-12.00, 2.00-4.00pm, 6.00-8.00pm Wed & Thurs -9.30am-12.00 2.00-4.00pm and 6.00-8.00pm Fri- finishing off from 9.00am. Between Ascension Day and Pentecost, as part of an initiative started by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, people globally will be praying that others will come to know Jesus. (See May’s parish magazine for more details. )As part of this initiative, we are also holding a reflective, meditative style session this evening at 7.30pm at Holy Trinity Church. They will last about an hour. Please try to come along.

Bishop Libby and Archdeacon Ian are doing a Prayer Walk across the Deanery, starting at st Mark's Bredbury (time of starting as yet unconfirmed) and ending up in Whaley Bridge at about 4.00pm. Details are still being finalised but there will be a short service to end the walk, probably in the canal basin. It will be good to welcome them to Whaley Bridge so please put the date in your diary.
Praying for healing has always been an important part of the church’s mission – whether that is praying for personal issues, for family members or friends and for the needs of the world. Each fifth Sunday we have a special service for healing and wholeness at Kettleshulme during which people who wish it can receive the laying on of hands and anointing. All are welcome. If you’d like to know more please speak to Revd Margaret or Revd Richard.
Organised by Trinity Stitchers, this festival includes exhibits, craft stall, refreshments and tombola, Admission is £1 for adults. Proceeds to Air Ambulance Service.
