Service of Healing and Wholeness at Kettleshulme Chapel

Praying for healing has always been an important part of the church’s mission – whether that is praying for personal issues, for family members or friends and for the needs of the world.  Each fifth Sunday we have a special service for healing and wholeness at Kettleshulme during which people who wish it can receive the laying on of hands and anointing. The Preacher today is Rev Andrew Lunn Chair of the Manchester and Stockport Methodist Church District.  All are welcome.  If you’d like to know more please speak to Revd Margaret or Revd Richard.

Thy Kingdom Come Global Wave of Prayer

Thy Kingdom Come Global Wave of Prayer:

25 May—4 June 2017 The Archbishops of Canterbury and York are inviting every parish to join in ten days of prayer for evangelism and witness between Ascension Day and Pentecost this year. The aim of this national and international initiative is:

· To join in prayer with the whole family of God the Father

· To pray for the empowering of God the Holy Spirit

· That we may be effective witnesses to God the Son, Jesus Christ.

Here, the Wave of Prayer begins with our Eucharist at 8.00am on Ascension Day.  On Saturday 3 June, there will be a Prayer Walk starting at Holy Trinity Church at 10.30am and lasting about an hour. (Please come along to Holy Trinity if you want to join this.) For more information see the Thy Kingdom Come leaflet at the back of church.
