Open the Book is a national initiative run by the Bible Society to bring bible stories into primary school, using specially produced scripts. It is loved by teachers and children alike!

We are setting up an Open the Book team in Whaley Bridge jointly with our ecumenical partners and would welcome more people to be involved. If you are available during the day and would like to join the team as a storyteller you would need to undertake online training and safeguarding checks. Other ways you could support the team is by creating costumes, props, or by giving them prayer support.
